Thursday, the last day I'll have my rental car, so I drive further North to
Montserrat (serrated mountain), with is located about 50km north-west of
Barcelona. It is a mountain (1236m) with very weird rock pillars, shaped by
wind , rain and frost. Almost on top of the mountain, there is the historic
Benedictine Monestir de Montserrat, which was founded in 1025. But actually I was
kind of dissapointed from the monastery, since there were busloads of tourist and
in addition also a big construction site, right in front of the monastery.
But on my way to the "serrated mountain" I was really fascinated by the look of
the rock pillars. Too bad that I was running out of time, otherwise it would have
been fun to go for a hike on the mountain.
So I did drive to Barcelona's airport to return the car and than I went by train
