Peniscola & Ebro Delta

From Cuenca I was driving to Valencia, and ended up to stay overnight in Moncofa a small pretty traditional village/town, where are a couple of Hostales near the beach. On the next day I headed north up to Peniscola, an old town with narrow cobbled streets and whitewashed houses. But actually in some of the streets are way to many shops for tourists with all kind of stuff, which kind of destroys the perfect idyllic picture. On top there's a 13th century castle, from where you've got a good overview of the coastal area. Here on the coast anyhow anything is pretty touristy.
Further North, close to Tortosa, there is the Ebro Delta (the delta of the rio Ebro). Here the land is pointing out seaward for about 20km, the flat and exposed wetland is one of the most important bird habitans of northern Spain. Nearly half of the area is used for rice growing, so I passed many rice fields.
