Zaragoza

On Saturday I did drive from Figueres to Zaragoza over the Pyrenees (via Besalu, Olot, Ripoll, La Molina, La Seu, Tremp & Lleida). On this day it was very cloudy and raining a bit, so I did hardly take any pictures, even if there was a lot to see.
In the evening I did walk to the "Plaza del Pilar", which is about 500m long. On the one side it's lined with the "Basilica de Nuestra Senora del Pilar" and further buildings, on the other side it's lined with many restaurants. For me it was a great place to jus hang out, take in the atmosphere and write some postcards.
On the following day I was the first visitor of "Aljaferia", the greatest Muslim era edifice outside of Andalucia. It was perfect to have about half an hour for myself, before more tourists came by. Downstairs the most remarkable thing for me were the many beautiful arches. Upstairs the most impressive thing were the ceilings.
